VALVOMAX

Email Marketing

The Overview

ValvoMax is an e-commerce brand that makes DIY car oil changes faster, easier, and cleaner. ValvoMax started when the founder Mike invented a revolutionary oil drain valve which quickly gained traction and grew a loyal base of customers.

Over a couple of years, he built a list of more than 10,000 email subscribers but hadn’t sent a single email. Yes, you heard it right…10,000+ customers and not one email sent!  That’s where I stepped in to help.

The Solution

Since this was creating the entire email marketing sequence from scratch, we focused on the following core setup:

    1. Set ValvoMax up on Klaviyo, importing the customer list and cleaning old, duplicate, and fake emails.
    2. Created core automation flows including a multi-part welcome, abandon, post-purchase, and cross-sell flow to drive sales and brand loyalty. With the welcome series, we created a 6-figure revenue flow by sharing the founder’s passion behind the product, and why customers had to buy his products. Our goal was to turn first-time customers into repeat, die-hard fans.
    3. Since ValvoMax hadn’t sent an email in 6+ years, we had to warm the customer list carefully to avoid ending in SPAM inboxes.  This meant sending a compelling offer to key customer segments before broadening our approach.
    4. Finally, we created thoughtful and relevant weekly email campaigns to drive additional sales.

The Results

$130,400

In one year since implementing the flows and campaigns, sales attributable to email has surpassed $130k.

6-FIGURE

With a high-converting popup and thoughtfully crafted content, the welcome series in the first year produced more than $100k in revenue.

$17,000

Drove more than $17k in sales from monthly campaigns in first 3 months, handing the execution back over to the team.
